I received this email today from the rescue that has been taking care of Chance. Chance was taken to a home of one of the volunteers and he suddenly starting going
into violent seizures, one right after the other. It was decided that the best thing for him was to send him to the Bridgt. Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn
he had taken. Thirty days ago he had been rescued from horrific conditions and since that time had fought bravely. The head trauma Chance had suffered contributed
to his seizures. He will be cremated and kept safely in Aberdeen as his final home. Chance has reminded us all what rescue is all about. He came from a world of
abuse, but did not have to leave dying in the cold backyard injured and starving -as he had been found at 10 years of age... But instead he was finally surrounded
in warmth and kindness and left this place receiving unconditional love, as it should be.
PLEASE REMEMBER CHANCE, ALL THIS SPECIAL GUY STOOD FOR AND THE DEVOTED PEOPLE WHO HELPED HIM ON HIS JOURNEY FROM DARRINGTON TO ABERDEEN TO THE BRIDGE... HE WILL NEVER HURT AGAIN AND HE IS WHOLE AGAIN AT THE BRIDGE WITH ALL OUR OTHER FUR KIDS.
